Elli Mokyr Horner

Dr. Mokyr Horner is currently a Senior Program Officer in Early Learning at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She has over a decade of experience working with non-profit, government, and foundation partners on wide-ranging health and education projects aimed at quality improvement and program evaluation.

She works with partners to develop interventions that are effective, efficient, and demonstrably successful. Her research expertise is in examining the cumulative effect of early-life exposures (e.g., to stress and trauma, or to high quality preschools) on later-life socioeconomic and health outcomes using administrative data linkages and quasi-experimental research designs.
