Emily Hanno

Dr. Emily Hanno is a Research Associate in the Family Well-Being and Children’s Development policy area at MDRC, a non-profit social policy research organization. Her research integrates developmental science with advanced quantitative methods to understand how early education and care programs and policies support children, families, and communities.

Hanno was previously a Lecturer on Education and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She began her career in education as a Head Start teacher and then instructional coach working with early career teachers in preschool through fifth grade classrooms across Houston, Texas.
