Rachel Leifer

Rachel Leifer is a Senior Program Officer on the US Program’s K-12 Solutions team, which focuses on expanding equitable access to rigorous, coherent instructional experiences that can help improve mathematics outcomes for K-12 students who are Black, Latino, English learner-designated, and low-income.

She has 15 years’ experience creating impact in the K-12 curriculum and professional development fields through philanthropic investment in academically rigorous education technology, organizational capacity building and scale, and research and development.

Across three philanthropies, Rachel has been the initial or and/or scale program officer for the Center for Education Market Dynamics, CenterPoint Education, Collaborative for Student Success, EdReports, EL Education, EngageNY, English Learners Success Forum, Illustrative Mathematics, OpenSciEd, Open Up Resources, Pivot Learning, Seek Common Ground, Student Achievement Partners, UnboundEd, and Zearn. Rachel holds master’s degrees from Columbia and American universities, and a bachelor’s degree from Smith College.
