Rahul Patel

Rahul has been working in the New York City Department of Education in a variety of capacities since 2012. He started his career as a High School Science Teacher in one of the poorest school districts in New York City. He was able to help students achieve success on state exams required for them to graduate.

More importantly, he was able to build strong relationships with his students that he still holds a decade later with his students. He has since lead edtech work with the central innovation teams, supported the homeless student population in NYC, led the effort to improve the culture and climate within NYC schools, and so much in between.

He holds a teaching license, a school building leader license, and a district leader license in the state of New York. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife; cooking, watching tv, going out to dinner, and so much more.
